Anxiety and Panic Disorder

What Is Anxiety?
Anxiety is more than just occasional worry. When it becomes a disorder, it usually means having excessive worry or nervousness most days for at least six months. Symptoms can include:
- Feeling restless, tense, or “on edge”
- Constant fatigue
- Trouble focusing or concentrating
- Irritability
- Difficulty sleeping
- Muscle tension
What Is Panic Disorder?
Panic Disorder is a related condition where anxiety can suddenly escalate into intense episodes called panic attacks. These may cause:
- Rapid heartbeat
- Shortness of breath
- Trembling or sweating
- Dizziness
- Fear of losing control or dying
- A sense of unreality, sometimes described as feeling like things aren’t real or being in a dreamlike state (“derealization”)
After an attack, many people live in fear of another one, and may begin avoiding places or situations that could trigger one.

Start feeling better through TMS—transcranial magnetic stimulation.

Panic Disorder & Panic Attacks
While medications may reduce symptoms, they don’t always solve the problem and can come with side effects. Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) is another option. By gently targeting the right dorsolateral prefrontal cortex of the brain with magnetic pulses, rTMS helps slow overly active brainwaves and return the brain to a to a calmer “alpha-wave” rhythm. This not only eases anxiety and panic but can also improve focus and mental clarity.
